The Awakening – Original Poem

I ain’t no crying kind
This crazy heart holds it all inside
Free falling to the bottomless abyss inside my mind that races without a finish line

It is without regret I see the light
The clouds part and the sun shines
In a single moment all aching subsides, all pain is gone

I am weary in a place that sees no weakness
This is a home without land; a fence without boundaries

Out of the darkness I crawl into the enchanted forest
Greens as pure as angels
Water with the clarity of timeless beauty

For once, this poet is void of words
Roaming alone without hesitation
No turning back
No mirror of hidden memories

Forward steps in the sand
An instant of beauty
A sunrise decorated with mystery and music

This is it
The single moment when physical and mental lows meet with the angel of twilight and to rise above is the greatest victory

No fanfare
No celebration

An awakening has arrived

Smug Nonsense – Original Poem

The smug nonsense of life’s symmetry of mass confusion has been awakened by the brick of common sense

Starving in the streets a rich boy seeks solace in a warm cup of soup given by a woman wealthy at heart

A girl alone on a bench kept company by the soul of her dead lover

The world awaiting a re-birth of earth and we are all its sacrifice

It is obvious my child
We are not lost
We are not misguided
We are focused on denial

These are days of miracles and wondrous moments of achievement
Where the concrete walls are torn down by the power of creativity

It is a time of absoluteness when leaders are defined by the great power of charity
When the clouds part and blue skies warm our spirits
It is a baptism of faith in humanity

Release yourself to the possibility

Dreamer – Original Poem

On the wave of life she rides a board of courage
A dreamer, in a world of unfulfilled dreams
A survivor, pure as the spring waters breaking against the rough terrain

A path that has bled from her heart drips out memories of a life of unrequited passion
She looks behind to see the thorns that have cut her up feeling the wounds that have never healed

Now a rebirth
A new sensation tingles and warms as her body resting in a hot spring
The soul taken from this earth, fed and nurtured and given a second chance

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, this angel of mercy is blessed with a new renaissance

Guinevere, a bird in free flight, energized by the wind, powered by the dawn of a new day

She sees a future, not chained by the past or hindered by the present

The metamorphosis is complete
The awakening has begun
She is free, protected by her delicate beauty and motivated by the tapestry of a new journey

A queen in the castle blooming with the symmetry of wisdom and allure
A new sunrise
A well needed acceptance

Innocence, my friend – Original Poem

Hello Innocence
Where have you been?

The protector of my dreams; the bearer of my actions
You guided me through the age of awakening and brought me from infancy to awareness

Life is a beautiful path of thorns
Each step a challenge to the next moment of enlightenment

Now faced with the reflection of myself, I stare at the child inside my soul
You never left me, but left me alone to learn the truth

You were always there, a star in the sky guiding me to my destiny

The sun and the moon, your eyes
The wind your extended hand
The waves of the ocean your voice

In you, I possess the power to dream

Hello again innocence

My friend, my passion, my guiding force of discovery
