True Companion – Original Poem

true11

Will you be my true companion?
Will you grow old with me and more beautiful with each passing day?
Will you let me discover you with each new sunrise?

You are the blessing hidden deep in my prayers
The person I want to become
The angel from high above

Will you be my true companion?

Words cannot express my love
Songs cannot translate the music in my head

In an instant a world changed
One glimmer of light and you appeared
From the darkness to enlightenment you found me

A lost puppy in a sea of flowers I wandered
Smelling the sweet nectar of a perfect world
A perfect world without meaning; without promise; without direction

Then there was you in the distance

Will you be my true companion?

true1

Destiny is written in the stars
Your soul next to mine high in the cosmos
In that field filled with the fruits of temptation I am grounded by you

A presence so powerful, yet so quiet and subtle
You awakened a sense left dormant by denial
An energy flourishing in the midst of your perfection

Will you be my true companion?

In you, I have found myself
In you, I will forever love

A Love for All Time – To Season and Webb (Original Poem)

In a heartbeat the seasons changed
As quickly as a gust of wind tempting the morning dew

Lost in a field of uncertainty
No direction home
No memory of past love, but an empty glass filled with hope

Running to the light of a new world, her dreams now within reach, she stumbles into a web of enchantment

Tangled and confused, she soon feels the warmth of its touch, the strength of its hold, the security of its protection

As the web wraps itself around her gentle skin she knows she found the home longed for in the dreams of every young princess

A prince arrives without warning to lift her to the clouds and welcome her to the heavens of eternal bliss

Once a young fragile bird with weak wings now a beautiful eagle soaring
With her guardian angel and partner by her side, they fly

Fly higher than life
Fly further than the stars and welcome each day together as a foundation for the infinite love they feel

For Season and Michael are now a symbol of truth
The truth that when two souls collide led by destiny, the explosion is a million points of light that all lead to love

In this devotion, we are all blessed with a piece of this affection carried into our hearts by the soft breeze off the oceanfront

To The One…You Engaged My Senses and Brought A Moment of Perfection

I’ve been lucky to have known you.
I’ve been fortunate to have loved you.
I’ve been blessed with the fortitude to have a moment of completeness in my life as you passed through exciting my senses and warming the energy around my heart.

You know who you are for you have carried a piece of me with you everywhere you turn.

It is that shared moment that defined a life, that determined a destiny, that felt once again.
Sometimes the hardest part about letting go is realizing that that moment had to happen in its entirety and then let go for the wind to take it away. It is a shared moment of finite perfection that is meant to last, not the eternity of mediocrity hoping to reengage once again what slipped away.

I don’t know what drew me to you other than it just did. It was a tsunami of euphoria that captured my mind, body and soul and swept me into the bottomless abyss of the ocean. Without you, I would not have now; without now I cannot sit here and think of you.

I was fortunate to have been put in a translucent state where destinies found their way to each other and then let their course run. I am not sure if we had control of the time we spent together or time dictated our every word. It is a story that may or may not sometime be told by generations after us.

Those moments are forever on the tombstones of the cemetery in our minds with each stone written the words of our love.

It is within you that I write this

Forever yours….

Free Will or Destiny….Who Decides

This article is brought to you by the letter Y

I want to spend a little time discussing some of the observations and conversations that have come across my circle of existence in the last week.

Before I begin, I would like to let the audience know that I have come into a tremendous amount of new wealth as a result of winning the UK National Lottery and Irish National Lottery all within the time frame of one week. Once I send in all my personal information to the Lottery officials via email I should have the checks very shortly. For those that believe they have won based on similar emails, it’s too late..I won. Go ahead and delete the emails now. I will wait.

I got an very nice and professional call on Tuesday about a role I had that was filled over six weeks ago. I was ready to graciously call the candidate and explain the timing of the interest. The only concern was the time of the call. I believe that a professional with a strong external focus should not have traditional business hours of contact but limits should exist. Please jump in with an opinion. Is 1:45 AM too late to call about a potential career opportunity? If I am wrong I would be most happy to declare to the world that I am wrong and that is an appropriate time for a call.

My brother-in-law in a discussion over brunch, while my brother is teaching my nine year old nephew blackjack, our waitress is searching for bumper stickers, my dad is stealing Splenda and I am rejoicing over how normal my family is, explained that the Lord knows all that will happen. I inquired and asked if he believed in free will. My brother-in-law said “of course” but the Lord still knows everything that will happen. He said that was one of the unexplainable things in life.

After I had a minor head spinning incident I decided nodding was my best course of action.

I leave with this question:

Do you believe in free will, destiny or both????

We will let the audience decide.
