Broken Spirit – Original Poem

Alone in the midst of the fields of wheat, clouds hover over her listless flesh and bones
Cold as the night air she stands
Feet as heavy as an anvil surging to the bottom of the ocean

The pouring rain rages from the heavens coating the porcelain skin with the essence of touch
Hands in the air
Prayers flowing through her lungs to the sky above

In a moment of weakness, she is grounded to her knees
The wind rests in front of her face; she stares eye to eye with the guardian of all that is
Trying to inhale the power of the almighty and humble to his calling

Wind sucks the life from her fragile body
Breathing becomes harder
Darkness becomes prominent
Conscious life is a distant memory

As she falls, the ambassadors of nature cover up the shell of this once brave and ample young vision
It is that final surreal moment where all flashes of life come to the forefront like a cinema directed by the mind and viewed by the judges of the afterlife

From birth to death is but a trial with a jury of idiots pondering a sentence with no meaning
Judged by imagination and faith

The wind vanishes, the sun rises, the harvest gleams
Birds fly with broken wings for another is gone

With Fondness – Original Poem

For this I thank you
You are the light that illuminates the path to righteousness

In your eyes, a reflection of my past
In your words, the confidence to try

It is with all my strength, I bow to your prowess that is your unspoken beauty
Your elegance is in your simplicity
You are a lover of life; a healer of souls

With fondness I thank you

In the winter, you are the angel that warms my nights as the purity of the snow lets gravity take hold and coat the ground with a cloud of immaculateness

With each farewell, a new hello is born
Each new face, a reminder of you

The road is full of pain
Painted with blues and reds
Jesters laughing at misfortune
Clowns mocking the fight
Magicians hiding from the illusion

This maze is a wicked path in all directions

With fondness, you will be by my side, always

A Passing Love – Original Poem

Like the shadows creeping up in the distance, I will always be by your side
My body may be gone, but this spirit rests inside your restless heart

It is the gift of life in death that keeps my memory alive
It is you that bears the torch
It illuminates the courage I could not express to you
It fuels the flame of a passion so intense that the wetness of my lips on yours can still be felt

Now you must rest and hold me close
Each memory a bed time story as you dream of a time when we both fell from the clouds and landed in the womb of a divine love

You can hear me in the wind
Whispering soft nothings in you ear and touching your velvety skin with the breast strokes of a brush resting on the canvas of life

Now the future is before you.
You are not alone
I am always close caressing your body with the embodiment of heaven’s assistance

Look to the stars for light, the sun for guidance and our love for safety

Don’t ever forget for I am not gone but a partner in your continuing journey

The Demon – Original Poem

Hear me, hear me, hear me
I look to you for guidance

The forest is filled with sharp poisonous temptation
The fruit is not of a pure vine
It is with the sweetness of its juices I yearn
Its pleasure coats my throat as it rattles to the bottom releasing its venom into my veins and corrupting the sanctuary within

What heartless creature from beyond would lead me to this seemingly dismal path, alone, cold, wet and confused?

I call to you in the pitch black room with no end nor beginning

I can hear you laughing in the corners of my mind

You see everything as I see nothing

I plead for forgiveness for the sins I will soon commit as this sin fills my insides.

I have fallen victim without warning; without cause

I want to believe in righteousness, but fear it is too late

I call to you once more; silence the demons and guide me to the antidote before the image in the mirror is no longer my own
