Discovering You – Original Poem

erotas

By Mark A. Leon

I love the idea of discovering you
The unchartered corners of your body
The wet canvas deep beyond your lips
The tremor of your volcanic heart racing to an explosive climax

I don’t remember who met who or how
I just know I can’t live a moment without your touch

It’s erotic innocence
Lustful romance
You terrorize me with your passion like no other

A spell you have over me

There is no evidence of a heavenly place, but when I am inside of you, I feel something undefined that no scientist has discovered

It is that place between existence and fantasy when heat and fire burn away the flesh

A seamless transition from the silky black pantyhose decorating your long sultry legs to the curves of your hips thrusting and teasing my body

My fingers shake as I feel I am penetrating the forbidden fruit
That corner in the garden restricted from the weak
Warning to the strong

Unchaining this oppression, my body is your temple
Unlock my doors and let me be your sinful doll

I’m but a dreamer, but you are the light the erases this darkness

Your moans are a song
A melody of passion

Each kiss unleashes a new wave reaching for the skies
A gentle bite to the nipple, a stream of kisses down your stomach
A clench of your thighs

With a hair toss and a throttle, I am your vehicle
Fueled by your deep penetration

Love and tenderness whispering signals to the instinct of heated passion

No you lie motionless except for the soft breath leaping from your tiny lips
Body and sheets in one artful masterpiece

I trail my fingers through your hair, whisper verses of love and close my eyes

Just for a Moment, We Were Still – Original Poem

hands1

Just for a moment we were still

Hands touched in that dark movie theater as you leaned you head gently on my shoulder whispering ‘I Love You’ for the first time

Time stood still
A pause on the soundtrack of our lives

Just for a moment we were still; the two of us trapped in our own cinematic romance, seeing the world outside but choosing to remain behind the screen

Stars of a fleeting love story that will never die and transcend time
A world about to crumble; demons lurking in the past and a life about to change
It was there that we found light in that darkness

Meaning defined
I knew I had to let go
Your skin against mine; so soft, so safe, so warm

You had to bleed on your father’s grave to breathe life, finding a relationship once again through his dying mother’s eyes

Like a zombie without a path you wandered
A hall pass to nowhere until that moment
Five, four, three, two, one stop

I see the glimmer in your eyes alone in the back row
For the first time, a sparkle
The movie so familiar; the scene so emotional

In that Garden State a seed was planted and in time a beautiful flower it will be

Just for a moment we were still and life began

May I Have This Dance? – Original Poem

dance2If I approached you, would you ask me to dance?
If held out my arms, would you cry by my side?

That’s all I ask of you

If I laid in bed a little too long, would you rest your head on my chest?
If I breathed the words of sadness, would you heal them with your light?

I ask you now, illuminated by the witness in the sky, will you join me for this ride?
As I wait, fixated on the reflection in your eye, I see the glow excite

Will you be the one I dreamed for all time?
Will you paint my future and fly it on a kite for all the world to see?
And celebrate with a toast as the light of my life

This clumsy fool weakened at the knees stands before you seeing fantasy meet reality

Matchmaker, matchmaker sing us a tune
Shower it with destiny from the delicate ivory of Gershwin
The words of “How Do I Love Thee” ringing from the resting soul of Browning
A harmony so lovely
A tune so familiar, played in my dreams for so long

Matchmaker, matchmaker, escort us to the dance floor
Release us to the unknown on a path of rainbow delight

As I sweep you off of this gravitational pull and thrust you to the sky, will you always be my special one until my last breath should subside?

You’re Not the Only One – Original Poem

lost1You’re not the only one that feels alone at night
Without direction, without a fight
Trapped in your own desires
Frightened by the thought of another person’s fire
Numb to the piercings of poisoned rain

Loneliness dwindles
The light of a new day rekindles

You’re not the only one who thinks to leap without faith
Who cries without feeling the pain
Digging a grave for a funeral never to be attended

You’re not the only one because you have me
Vulnerable and humble; blessed at the gift before me

You inspire color
Give meaning to this fantasy
My words I give to you
My life I invite to share

You’re not the only one out there minimized by space; corrupted by the hurt; pained by the future

hands1Never more will you be lost
Dump the weight of that back pack of past lies
Feel the burden lifted as you take my hand
Feel the energy of the sun penetrate the surface of your pores as you feel alive once again

Run with me baby; run with the gazelles
Let’s take our direction to new heights
Together in love

Goodbye Whitney Houston – You voice and soul will always remain in our hearts

There are a few artists that truly transcend time. Their contributions to their field, their impact on the fans and their message are eternal. Whitney Houston was blessed with a voice that could soothe the world, a beauty that was natural and refreshing, talents that so few of us can ever achieve and a message of love that will remain with us.

For so many, she, like Michael Jackson and Madonna, Whitney defined a generation of music and her legacy and sound have remained long after her recording career ended. She made us remember a song more than a football game, swept us off our feet in The Bodyguard and made us want to dance with somebody all night long.

On a day of remembrance, let us enjoy the music that made her a legend in our hearts.

Thank you Whitney, for the music, the films and the inspiration
