Gravity – Original Poem

alone1

Pulling us down
Faster than the speed of light
Stronger than our will can withhold

Gravity
Forces stronger than the air we breathe
Gravity
Pulling us from the sky
Gravity
Our weakness, its strength
Against all odds, I weep

I tried to forget
I tried to hold on
I tried; I tried

With the power of my words
Further away you are
With my all my might, I break down
My calls echo back
Bruising
My prayers unanswered

alone2

Reaching for the clouds, I have admitted my place in this world
Powerless
Fragile
Hesitant to accept this future alone

Gravity
To the ground I fall
